She is co-founder of La Nuestra. National Physical Education Teacher and Biological Sciences Teacher (Instituto José Ingenieros, 1987) National Football Head Coach (Argentine Football Coaches Association, 2001); Sports Journalist (DeporTEA, 1995) and feminist activist.
AFA 1st Division football player (Club Atlético All Boys, 1997-1999).
She has been awarded with the Outstanding Women Prize for her work in sports in municipalities and obtained the Coaches Training Program Scholarship (U.S. Embassy, Buenos Aires, 2008).
Recognized by the Legislature of the City of Buenos Aires as an outstanding sports personality within the City of Buenos Aires, Monica Santino is the first female football player to receive this distinction.
She is co-author of the book Pelota de Papel 1, 2 and 3, Feminismo para Jóvenes, A Desalambrar and Abrir el Juego. She currently coaches the pre-teens category of La Nuestra Fútbol Feminista.
